About Postscriptum
A private space to say what was left unsaid.
Why This Exists
Postscriptum was born from a personal loss. After someone close to us died, we found ourselves doing what millions of people do — talking to them in our heads. In the car. At 2am. On their birthday.
We weren't looking for therapy. We weren't looking for advice. We just needed a place to say the things we never got to say.
That place didn't exist. So we built it.
What We Believe
We believe grief is not a problem to be solved.
We believe the bond with someone you've lost doesn't have to end.
We believe you deserve a space that listens — without judgment, without a timeline.
We believe your words matter, even when there's no one left to hear them.
We built Postscriptum to be that space.
Grounded in Research
Postscriptum is grounded in research, not assumptions. Everything we build is informed by decades of grief psychology and clinical studies.
A systematic review of 79 studies shows that maintaining a bond with someone who passed is a healthy, adaptive part of grief — not “holding on.”
Hewson et al., Death Studies, 2024
Writing or talking to a deceased loved one is used as a clinical tool in grief psychotherapy — helping with self-disclosure, unfinished business, and building a coherent narrative around loss.
Larsen, Death Studies, 2024
A meta-analysis of 13 randomized trials found that expressive writing reduces grief symptoms — and the effect nearly doubles when there's a response.
Expressive Writing for Grief: Meta-Analysis, 2025
43% of bereaved people report “unfinished business” — things left unsaid — that doesn't fade with time.
Klingspon et al., PMC / NIH, 2015
What Postscriptum Is Not
Postscriptum is not therapy. It's not a diagnosis tool. It's not a replacement for the person you lost.
And it's not a simulation trained on their data — we don't use their texts, social media, or recordings. Everything here comes from you. Your memories. Your words. Your version of them.
If you're struggling with grief that feels unmanageable, we encourage you to seek professional support. Postscriptum is a space to express what you feel — not a substitute for the care you may need.
Your Privacy
